T-minus 11 days

In a little less than 2 weeks we (my wife and I) will be remodeling our roughly 100 square foot kitchen. I've got 3 weeks (sabatical) to finish it up. I'll be using this blog show our progress and the materials we used...mostly for family but if anyone else finds it useful, more power to you.

Here's the plan:

1. Demolition.
2. Make the window smaller (to make room for a new cabinet)
3. Remove the soffit (to allow for full height cabinets)
4. Have plumber run gas line for new range.
5. Adjust the wiring to account for moving the range, shrinking the window, new lights (cans) and more outlets.
6. Replace flourescent lights with fixture in light box.
7. Fix drywall issues caused by 2-5.
8. Paint.
9. Replace vinyl floor with tile.
10. Install cabinets.
11. Install Plumbing.
12. Install Countertop as soon as it arrives.

We'll see how this goes.
